We're all surviving at dog camp this week. We went on our first field trip to Wal-Mart today and Lucia did great. All 15 recipients were in Wal-Mart at the same time with dogs. People kept stopping and asking if it was walk a dog day or something. Tomorrow we go to the mall, eat lunch at the food court and to dinner tomorrow night at a pizza place. Learning to control the dogs in public is very important.
Lucia met Mary Lyndsey today and seemed to like her. It's been tiring but fun so far. Thanks again for all of your encouragement and prayers. I'll post more pictures on Monday or Tuesday.
By the way, I'm learning all kinds of spiritual applications while learning to train this dog. Especially with trying to get her to walk right beside me. Also, when traveling through a door, we have to command her to "wait, go through, or behind" for her safety. Sometimes she doesn't want to listen. I'm sure God knows just how I feel :-)

Ohhh Amy...That's GREAT!!! Though I knew you were busy at camp(been praying) I did not know this was the DOG DEDICATION week! I could have picked a song for Lucia...
I think you been hanging around Carol, too much. I can so understand how tiring this discipline training is and all the spiritual application. Van Walton from Proverbs 31 does great with her dog and his blog! Her book is adorable and she always has good applications between the Master &
the loved one...It will be all worth it. I'm sure Spencer is adjusting fine! Hoping he relaxes now so there's no more seizures.
Control...yep...alot of lessons!
My 5 dogs are still training me!
Blessings and you're near the finish..hang in there...and btw
I gotta go let the dogs out!!!
WHO isn't around!!!
Yeap - that's an appropriate one!!
Amy,
I think my dog rules me at times. I bet it has been a lot of work this week, but then great to get this sweet dog to help.
Pray Spencer is doing well, as well as everyone else.
Blessings!

It was very appropriate! I love it! The video was cute, too. Glad you had a good day and am praying things continue to go well.
This one sure put a smile on my face. Glad to hear that you are going to have this dog to alert you to Spencer's seizures. I have heard amazing things about these dogs and the program sounds like it makes a world of difference in peoples lives.
Loved it!
Thank you for hosting!! Very funny.
Too much fun! We watched it several times.
You are so funny!
Have a great weekend! PRaying for you all. :)

That's hilarious!!
A trained dog is a happy dog and a happy family, that's for sure. My husband and I have always taken time to do some intensive training with our dogs over the years and it's always paid off and the Lord has used that too to talk to me about a lot of things.
I haven't been over here for awhile but I'm looking forward to seeing what other songs are out there today.
Have a great day
Sheila
I came over to your blog from 2nd cup of coffee's blog roll. Your "Why Sign, Miracles" post nearly made me cry. I too believe in miracles, and I am so happy God gave you one with your precious son. And now to see him with his new pup, Lucy is great.
May God continue to bless you!
I am so thankful for His grace.. more and more each day! Love your blog!
That is hilarious! Woo Woo Woo. I've gotta let Colin watch that tomorrow when he is up. Missed you today.
Oh, Amy, it is so good to get caught up here. I am so excited about Lucia being added to your fam. That picture of her with head cocked is precious. I know that although this is an exciting time, it must be stressful on you as a mom and person. You're in my prayers this week, but it sounds like you are doing exceedingly better than I would be. Blessings on you all, even Lucia!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! :)
I am so glad to have found your blog! It is so uplifting. Thanks for the time you put in here. I am excited about Then Sings My Soul Saturday. What a great idea and I am eager to be a part of it. See ya in the morning. :~)
