It's my 200th post!!! I can't believe it. I was going to do a give away, but so much has been going on I didn't get around to planning it. Maybe I will give away something for the holidays.
I will be updating you guys on our Chicago trip this week for Spencer's testing for brain surgery. Thank you all for your prayers and emails of encouragement. They really mean a lot to me. Please continue to pray for God to be in all the details this week. He has already shown off in a big way. More to come on that later.
I wanted to start a series I will do this month providing you with information on famous people with epilepsy.
The first person I'm highlighting is Vincent Van Gogh. This excerpt is taken from a calendar that UCB produced in 2006/2007.
"Vincent Van Gogh, a painter of profound sensitivity and remarkable productivity, experienced complex partial seizures throughout his life. Driven by genius, he relied daily on his brother Theo as a source of comfort and support. Theo's constant correspondence helped Vincent cope with his epilepsy and helped him to become a world-class artist."

Will update you guys from Chicago tomorrow! Have a blessed day!

You know we're praying here...

Hey congrats on your 200th post and by the way I took that test and scored only 18. Guess I'm not ready to come around with you and advocate huh? Seriously though we are lifting Spencer and your family up in prayer. -God bless, Laurie
praying for you
17 out of 25 for me. Clearly I have a lot to learn, but not knowing anyone who has epilepsy, I thought I didn't score too badly. Definitely increased my awareness and knowledge. I'm curious about why you wouldn't call 911 every time someone has a seizure. It seems like it would need to be documented medically, but I suppose you could do this by keeping records and contacting doctors. Hmmm...Lots to learn, like I said!
Praying your trip goes well...
I got 19! Call me tomorrow!
Praying for a good meeting, good questions, good dialouge and some discernment from the Lord on the next steps in Spencer's life.
We have been VERY ill around here (all 5 of us) so I am just checking and reading blogs again.
Thank you for the series .. you never know who needs this information!
