I saw this song on Leila's site this week and I just can't get it out of my head. Aren't we all prodigal children at times?
Luke 15: 11-24
11Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. 12The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.
13"Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. 14After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. 15So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. 16He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.
17"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' 20So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.
21"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.[b]'
22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

When will we come to our senses? He's waiting with open arms for us to return.

It's so good to know we have a Heavenly Father who always accepts His children back in His arms :) God's grace is so awesome!
I've always loved the story of the prodigal son and the video is beautiful.
Yes, AMY! I LOVE this story too! In some way or another it could be everyone's testimony.
I love the song/video you shared. My post is up too.
Have a WONDERFUL weekend!

Blessings Amy...I guess I was the only one who felt like a Prodigal!!!
I know I have a Prodigal Son & Daughter(though adopted I had 15 years to plant seeds but they are not the close to any vine at the moment).
And I know I have a prodigal husband that does not think he needs a Jesus! Who would have thought?
Thank you for sharing this song from Lelia's site but close to your thoughts. Hoping & praying all is well! Did not see any reports but I've been trying to catch up all week from last week still and now I have Hurricanes in my area! So who knows??? I'm running to those open arms! Still praying for you all!
Amy,
This was such a sirring post. There are so many out there, wandering, lost and without hope, yet the hope rests within our grasp in Jesus.
Blessings,
Susan
This is my first TSMSS in a while, it's awesome to be back. Amy this is my favorite!
May I never stop grasping that it is indeed amazing that I am called His daughter! Now that is grace.
I've missed TSMS, it is always such a blessing. Thank you for the song and the reminder that there is nothing that will separate us from our Father's love.

Hey Amy...I posted Super Sunday Info late last Sunday but it's up now for tomorrow! Just thought I'd let you know! Have a SUPER SUNDAY!
I love this song also...Although the song is titled: "Still Calls me Son." I am glad to know that I am a daughter of God's and that the terms son/daughter are interchangeable.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing. Bless you!
