Then Sings My Soul - Amazing

Welcome to Then Sings My Soul! So glad you dropped by this week.

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month! I've decided to kick it off with my TSMS post for this week. I was excited when I found this video tonight on You Tube!

This song is called Amazing by Janelle. I think I've heard it on the radio before, but I wasn't sure so I did some research on the artist. I was excited to find that Janelle is a Christian artist.
You can click on her name to find out more about her. I also thought you might like to see the lyrics for the song, (it's a pretty cool song) so here is another version.

I'll be posting lots of information about epilepsy this month, so if you know someone who would be interested, please direct them on over.

Have a blessed weekend! I'll be posting updates from Chicago on Monday.
Sweet Blessings,
Amy

Blessings Amy...Very Informative! I really liked the song also Amazing...
with Janelle...it;s amazing that she's Christian too! Maybe that should be an additional blog theme song for my Amazing Grace...Mazes, Messes, Miracles...so for sure I need to link up some Epilepsy posts for my Mission4Monday! This video is a good beginning explanation! Thanks for sharing and making us aware! How is Spencer doing? Don't you go for testing soon? maybe it won't be necessary! Enjoy your TSMSS & have a wonderful weekend!

Amy, I had never heard this song before and her voice is beautiful!

I hope you are pushing the word on epilepsy with extra support from God this month! I personally know the craziness of it so what you're doing with awareness is important!

Blessings :-)

My daughter attends a special education preschool, and last year, the husband of one of her aides made a music video with this song as the backdrop. It's a really powerful song! Thanks for sharing this morning....

Thanks for sharing that! It was really great. There are so many cool artists out there that I had not heard of! I need to research that more myself!

Amy - what a beautiful song and video. Thank you for it, the facts taught me a few things I didn't know and there were several I did. My father is epileptic - ended up with a military discharge, experienced his first seizure on a ship while in Vietnam. Fortunately for him, his is controlled by medication and he has had a seizure in years. As a mother of two, I ache when I read the stories of your son. I can't imagine how I would feel to have to just... be there. May they find an answer to stop his seizures soon!! Blessings.

Amazing song. Thank you for introducing me to this artist. I really liked the words "I hope you never fall too far". So many times I find myself praying that my children will never be hurt or bad things won't happen to them or that they would never lose fellowship with God (which are all good things), but I should really be praying that when they fall, it's not too far. Because each of those things I mentioned will eventually happen to them. My prayer needs to be that they be strong enough to endure during those times.

Amy,

I absolutely loved the song! Thank you for posting about epilepsy awareness ~ I was actually diagnosed when I was 3 but the stigma was so bad that my parents never even told me that I had epilepsy! I only heard that I had 'episodes' my whole life.

It wasn't until I was 40 years old and sitting in a neurologists office one day for migraine follow up and he questioned me why I never told him I had epilepsy??? I was so clueless...I told him I didn't have it...he said..oh yes you do! When I questioned my Mom she said it was such an ugly word she never wanted to tell me.

So, it didn't make things better or worse..but now I have a much better understanding. Awareness is good!

Blessings to you today! I pray Spencer's seizures are better.

Amy, that is a beautiful song! Thanks for sharing! I am looking forward to the upcoming information on epilepsy. It is such a misunderstood condition. I hope to learn more. I wasn't able to get something posted for TSMSS, but I will next week. I hope you have a good weekend! Alicia

I know I am TOTALLY late, but I couldn't not write in on the date, that was when God reminded me of that song when I was with my lil brother in the hospital!
