Being Confident in Yourself

Ok, I had to share this quick story before I forget it in they busyness of today. On the way to school in the mornings, my daughter (4 1/2 year old) listens to my iPod. She is always singing along to one of her favorite songs. Today, she stopped the music and said "Mommy, do you want to listen to my voice in a different context?" (How does she know what context means anyway?)
"Sure" I said. So she started to sing a song she had made up. She informed me that "in a different context" meant that she could sing without the music. (Funny, I thought that was
a cappella) I can't remember the words but she is always making up songs and singing about everything.

In true mommy form, I see potential in her to be a great singer someday; so I asked her if she would like to take singing lessons to improve her voice. Her response to me:
"No Mommy, I am great the way I am!"

Wow, that's my lesson for today.

I can just see her saying that!!! Oh, if we could all be that confident as adults. Maybe we would not sit on our hands when God calls us to do something for Him if we had just an ounce of that confidence.

So funny - and I can hear her little voice saying it! OK - I'm waiting to see the biblical application of Billy Ray!
