Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Warren Barfield

Our church is hosting a marriage conference this weekend based on the movie Fireproof. Greg and I are leading a session tomorrow and could use your prayers. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I highly recommend it. It's an incredible movie. It's also very timely and needed. Divorce is rampant not just outside the church but in it as well. Marriage is under attack. Many think love is something you fall into and out of so it's OK to walk away if you have "fallen out of love" but love is a choice. This song from the movie by Warren Barfield says it best.

Please take some time to pray for marriages this weekend.
Sweet Blessings,
Amy

That's a great song! I loved the movie and the book. Our church is doing a "Fireproof" class and you said it well that this is something timely and much needed. If Satan can break up our homes, he has a foot in the door to everything else.

It is a wonderful movie!!! I agree...every married couple needs to watch this along with anyone who wants to get married!
Not only are our marriges under attack but so are our families. There are so many of our children turning and running from God. It breaks my heart!
I love this song and the words are so true!
Joining in prayer for the conference....

Many prayers going your way this weekend.

My hubby and I are at a small group leader conference this weekend to learn how to get into the "stuff" going on in the marriages in our church, and how to bring them to God, out of the mess, and on to leading others to do the same.

I agree that is DEFINATELY worth fighting for!

Wonderful song!! Are you doing the Love Dare from Fireproof?

I am not married, but I do have 3 adult children who have suffered much as the result of the marriage of their father and I. I did certain parts of the "Love Dare" with them (unbeknownst to them!), and guess what--this has made our lives much pleasanter, we are closer, and yes, we love each other more.

Still problems from time to time--of course, but they are worked out differently.

Our church hosted a Fireproof conference this weekend as well. Can I TELL you what a battle it was just to keep myself and my husband there?? We had to leave early Friday night because our son would not stop screaming, we ended up watching the movie at home (downloaded from amazon) at 6am saturday, finished it at 8:15, jumped immediately in the car and headed to church for the rest of the conf...but WE WERE THERE. Satan, take that. It was great. We are glad we went. God bless you for your work in the conference at your church - so needed in America's homes!!
