Our church is hosting a marriage conference this weekend based on the movie Fireproof. Greg and I are leading a session tomorrow and could use your prayers. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I highly recommend it. It's an incredible movie. It's also very timely and needed. Divorce is rampant not just outside the church but in it as well. Marriage is under attack. Many think love is something you fall into and out of so it's OK to walk away if you have "fallen out of love" but love is a choice. This song from the movie by Warren Barfield says it best.

Please take some time to pray for marriages this weekend.

I've got the "hippie, hippie" shakes

For goodness sakes, I've got the "hippie, hippie" shakes! 

Spirit week continues - today's theme: Hippie Day. 

Isn't my little hippie cute? We even drew a peace sign tattoo on his hand with eyeliner. I almost wrote LOVE across his knuckles but he wouldn't let me. I told him he looked great and he said, "I feel ridiculous!" He said everything but the tie dye T-shirt was crazy. I had to go online and show him pictures of hippies to get him to wear it. 

Tomorrow is 50's Day. Leather jacket... here were come!

Just thought I'd give a shout out to Jesus today because He is so awesome.

Spencer is seizure free 6 weeks today!!!!!!! That is the longest we've been since last April. Thanks for all of your prayers. Keep em coming.

I want to be famous....

Today was Famous Person Dress up day at school for Spencer. They are having a spirit contest and every person who dressed up won 10 points for their class. Spencer decided to be Harry Potter. 

Actually, I decided Spencer would be Harry Potter. I don't really care for the Harry Potter books, but everyone always tells him he looks like him, so I figured it was the easiest thing to put together. He even got to wear his school uniform as part of the costume. I borrowed a cape from Carol, used eyeliner for the scar, tousled his hair with gel and hairspray and voila... Harry Potter. I had a cute broom from an old witch's costume, but he refused to carry it.

Still I don't think anyone will have any problems knowing who he is. What do you think? Does he resemble him?

A little birdie told me

Spencer has a project due tomorrow on birds. We decided to do something fun for his class for snack to go along with his report. We made these adorable bird nests with eggs from Enchanted Learning. You can click on the link to get instructions.

I used Hershey's chocolate eggs and Peeps, two of my favorite Easter goodies to jazz them up a little.

They turned out so cute I couldn't help but share them with you. They make a cute project for Easter too and they were super easy!

We sang this song this past Sunday at church and it's been going through my head all week! I love the rhythm. And the lyrics are so great. 
The Hillsong version of this song was no longer available, but I found this version by Lakewood Church and it was fantastic! Enjoy! Get ready to clap your hands.

Midweek Motivation - The Move

Married about two years, my husband and I clearly felt we were supposed to move. However, nothing about a move made sense. We both had jobs, we only had one car but we were managing, and we had a cute little apartment.

I tried to rationalize why it wasn't a good idea to move. I even made a list. We wouldn't have a place to live. We didn't have any leads on jobs. If we did find jobs and they weren't in close proximity, how would we make one car work then?
