Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Had a great time in Washington.
Hopefully our efforts there will help RAISE Awareness about epilepsy.
Thought this song was appropriate. It's an oldie but one I love.
Hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Happy Weekend Friends!
I'm off to Washington DC this weekend for the National Epilepsy Walk.
Can't wait to see some of my advocate friends.
Just an update, my dad started his chemotherapy on Thursday. So far he's doing great.
Please continue to keep him in your prayers.
I hope to post some pics from the walk next week.
Thanks for all of your encouragement and prayers over the last few weeks.
It means so much.
Blessings,
Amy

Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Hi Friends,
Hope you are all having a great weekend so far! Just an update, my dad is doing great. He came home and is continuing to gain strength. The hospice nurse has actually released him and the oncologist says if he is strong enough, he will start chemo next Thursday. We are so grateful for his continued improvement. Please continue to pray.

Thought you might enjoy this new release from Laura Story. She is one of my favorites.
Sweet Blessings,
Amy

Then Sings My Soul Saturday

I'm out of town visiting my dad this weekend. He's doing amazingly well. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Having a little difficulty getting much of a signal on my air card out here in the country, so I can't get You Tube to load a video - so just a link this weekend for all of you to link up your videos.
Hope you have a blessed weekend.

Then Sings My Soul Saturday

My hope is in the Lord!
Believe it or not, my dad came home from hospice this week and is doing much better. The doctors are amazed. We don't know how much time he has left, but I am praising God that I am now sure of his salvation and no matter what happens I know God is in control.
Blessings,
Amy

Then Sings My Soul Saturday

I've tried three times to copy the embed code from Kutless "What Faith Can Do" and for some reason it keeps kicking me out of blogger - so I don't have a video today - but here are the lyrics.

Everybody falls sometimes Gotta find the strength to rise From the ashes and make a new beginning

Anyone can feel the ache You think it’s more than you can take But you're stronger, stronger than you know

Don’t you give up now The sun will soon be shining You gotta face the clouds To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains Hope that doesn’t ever end Even when the sky is falling

I’ve seen miracles just happen Silent prayers get answered Broken hearts become brand new That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard Impossible is not a word It’s just a reason for someone not to try

Everybody’s scared to death When they decide to take that step Out on the water It’ll be alright

Life is so much more Than what your eyes are seeing You will find your way If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains Hope that doesn’t ever end Even when the sky is falling

I’ve seen miracles just happen Silent prayers get answered Broken hearts become brand new That’s what faith can do

But, I chose that song because the words have spoken so strongly to me this week.

It's been a very challenging week. My Dad had some complications with his lung cancer this week and has been in the hospital with pneumonia. They moved him to ICU today and have decided not to start his chemo until he gets stronger - if he gets stronger. It's happening much faster than we thought. My mom and my dad could definitely use your prayers.

Also my mother in law goes into the hospital Monday morning for brain surgery. They are placing a deep brain stimulator implant in to help stop her tremors. And Spencer will be in the hospital from Wednesday to Friday next week for a routine VEEG for his epilepsy. We are little overwhelmed this week. So... I'm depending on what my faith can do.

Blessings,

Amy
