Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Well it's been a pretty crazy week friends. After that sweet letter I received from Spencer last week, he gave us quite a scare. Sunday night he had a seizure that lasted almost two hours. We were airlifted to Children's at Scottish Rite and spent Monday and Tuesday in the hospital. He went back to school on Thursday and seems to be doing much better today. He's still very tired from all the meds though. It was pretty disappointing as we had been almost 12 weeks seizure free. The count for days has started again. Please pray for him as he still has 3 weeks of school left. He's ready to be done for the summer, but I guess we all are.
In the middle of all the craziness this week, Mary Lyndsey graduated from preschool on Thursday night. She looked so adorably cute in her cap and gown. Right as we were leaving the house to go to the ceremony, she went out the front door ahead of me and lifted her hands and shouted, "I'm graduating!" I had a flash forward to 13 years from now and just about couldn't keep it together as I watched her walk out the door. I know the years will fly by too quickly for me and before I know it she will be all grown up. They both will.
This is one of the songs they played at graduation last night. I love the lyrics and my kids love it of course because it's Hannah. I hope you enjoy it too. But I have to admit, I secretly don't want my little butterfly to fly away.

Sweet Blessings,

Amy

PS. I'll try to post pictures of Mary Lyndsey in cap and gown tomorrow!

Bless your heart. Sorry you had such a roller coaster of a week. From seizures and hospitalizations to preschool graduation and all the lasts and firsts that it brings! Yesterday my girl was where yours was. . .and now she's getting ready to leave 8th grade and head to high school. The time does fly.

Hope you enjoy some rest this weekend!

I'm sorry to read of Spencer's seizure this week. I'm sure it's disappointing since it's been a while. I'd love to see the graduation pictures from preschool of your daughter. It's so cute how they now have special events for this time. And thank you for starting and continuing to host TSMSS. It's been such a blessing for me and I look forward to Saturdays.

I'm so sorry to hear about your son's seizure. I hope he will continue to do better as the school yr comes to an end.

My daughter graduates from preschool on Wednesday. I got her photos already in the cap & gown, and same as you...13 yrs ahead, I could see it. wow.

I'm posting the picture on my kids blog on Monday if you wanted to pop by and compare graduates. ;-)

Oh, I can't even listen to that song. I'd cry I'm sure.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I know that was terrifying for all of you. I am so sorry.

I'm glad he is home and doing better.

Love,
Beth

So sorry to hear about Spencer's seizure. Wow, two hours.

I want to thank you, again, for all you do to promote epilepsy. We are home now after having surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. I wish we could say that my son has been seizure free but he has had seven seizures since surgery. We go back June 10 to see what adjustments we will make to medications. We still pray that one day our son will be seizure free and I am praying that for Spencer also.

Ohhh Amy...I'm sorry you had such a rollercoaster time when Spencer has been doing so well! I will continue to PRAY for Spencer to finish school with no more!

Congratulations Mary Lyndsay! Good job! Hope your heart can adjust over the next 13 yrs. Amy!

How sweet of a song from Hannah...may there be many butterflies of New Life! Thanks for sharing this!

(Sorry I'm late...but I thought I left a comment last week but it probable told be webpage unavailable since I've been having such problems). My posts from now through July...are pre-scheduled and I can't remember how many TSMSS I did but I may not be able to link them but just know that I may have one posted. Enjoy the close of school & the beginning of summer with all in good health!

You probably know about this: http://professionals.epilepsy.com/page/infectious_mycoplas.html the link between mycoplasma infection and epilepsy?

I had a mycoplasma infection for many years, before God showed me (actually He tried sooner, but I ignored it) that I had it. It caused my apparently incurable Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and I was put on suppressive thyroid medication for life to prevent my goiter from growing again.

Praise the Lord, I am in complete remission for what the doctors said I would have for life and could probably result in more autoimmune diseases. Cure: 100 mg of doxycycline (for life probably). No side effects and I eat yogurt every day for the good bacteria.

I pray this will be the answer for you too. Please research this angle carefully. Don't expect doctors to know about this though, but do seek medical advice. My shocking thyroid experience with doctors is on my blog.
