Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Free To Be Me

I've been hearing this song for a while on the radio and I love it!
The lyrics are so good. I hope you all enjoy it too!
 Happy Mother's Day!

At twenty years of age
I'm still looking for a dream
A war is already waged for my destiny
But You've already won the battle
And You've got great plans for me
Though I can't always see, 'cause...

I got a couple dents in my fender
Got a couple rips in my jeans
Try to fit the pieces together
But perfection is my enemy
And on my own I'm so clumsy
But on Your shoulders I can see
I'm free to be me

When I was just a girl
I thought I had it figured out
See my life will turn out right
And I'll make it here somehow
But things don't always come that easy
And sometimes I would doubt, 'cause...

And you're free to be you

Sometimes I believe
That I can do anything
Yet other times I think
I've got nothing good to bring

But You look at my heart and you tell me
That I've got all You seek
And it's easy to believe, even though...

And you're free to be you

Sweet Blessings,
Amy

Happy Mother's Day Amy!

This was a new one but catchy and I love being free to be me! The lyrics seem like a walk down memory lane!

May the Lord walk with you and bless you with a wonderful weekend!

Oh Amy I love this song. I tried to do it a couple of weeks ago and couldn't get it to load. I love the line that says "the battle is already faught..."
I didn't get to post a song today but I did mention TSMS anyway.
Have a Blessed Saturday singing and a Happy Mothers Day.
Hugs,
Sherry

My girls and I love listening to this one in the car! And it opened up a great conversation about perfection and how it can be our enemy. I pray for them that perfectionism does not grip them as it has me.

Have a Happy Mother's Day, Amy!
Love,
K :)
