Washington Trip / Epilepsy Stuff

I've been promising to post pictures from our Washington Trip to the National Epilepsy Walk and I finally have them loaded. I don't know where the time goes. This week sort of disappeared on me.
Before I share a little about our trip though, I want you to check out these two links on epilepsy stuff.

The first link is a video of Greg Grunberg
on CNN talking about Epilepsy Awareness and his new website TalkAboutIt.Org. Be sure to check out the Talk About It site too. It's very cool!

The next link is to the cover of Newsweek for April 20. It's an awesome story on epilepsy.

There is lots of great information in all these links! By the way, Spencer is 4 weeks seizure free again. Hallelujah! Please continue to pray for no seizures as we are about to go to Disney World for Spring Break.

Here are some of the pics from Washington.
Me and Spencer on Capitol  Hill
Spencer as The President of the United States :-)

Jake Grunberg and Spencer
Jake, Phil Gattone and Spencer after the Walk.

We had a great time at Kids Speak Up and at the Walk. We raised over $500 for the Epilepsy Foundation. I think over 9,000 people attended the walk this year despite the rain. Spencer is already asking if we can go back next year.

Sweet Blessings,
Amy

Hi,

Epilepsy has gone from an obscure mental illness, to a serious illness recognized by state foundations. This remarkable awareness, is because of the great work organizations, such as yourself, has done. We here, at Disease.com, fully support the cause your organization stands for and we are dedicated to aiding in your mission statement. Disease.com is a website which features disease and infection preventions/treatments. If you could, please list us as a resource or host our social book mark button, it would be much appreciated. Lets dedicate our time to the welfare of the 3 million individuals with epilepsy.
If you need more information please email me back with the subject line as your URL.

Thank You,
