Then Sings My Soul Saturday - Babbie Mason

This week is the final week for my free CD giveaway and I'm highlighting Babbie Mason. If you've never heard her before, here's a clip of her on Christian Living Magazine.

The song starts at about 5min 10 sec. if you would like to fast forward for just the music.

She is singing a song called "Shine the Light." It's what we all need to do, not only at this time of year but all year through.

The CD I'm giving away is entitled Babbie Mason: The Definitive Gospel Collection. It doesn't have Shine the Light, but it does have two more of my favorite songs by her - Standing in the Gap and Stop by the Church. I couldn't find any You tubes or God tubes of her songs, but if you don't know her music, I encourage you to check it out. Once again, all you have to do to be eligible to win this week is to post a TSMS song and link up below.

Here's a pic of me, Janet and Babbie at Edwards Road a few weeks ago. If you ever get a chance to see her in person, you should definitely go. She is such a blessing!

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas.

Sweet Blessings,

Amy

I really enjoyed that video, Amy. I know she is a songwriter and teaches songwriting. That's a cute picture of you three.

Ok, here goes my random comment...

First ~ Your post and video of Babbie was amazing! Her testimony is wonderful and the song was absolutely a blessing to where I am right now. Thank you!

Second ~ I have blogged several times about songs that have really spoken to me. Imagine my joy at finding your blog! I arrived on your blog via another blogger's link and what do I find? People just talking about music! Blessing #2~

Third ~ I have been blessed with some great songs via Mr. Linky.

Thanks for hosting this great topic!

What a great song and awesome message. I think we forgot sometimes that we are here to shine for Jesus. Hope your family is doing better and you have a peaceful holiday.

I have a friend who sang with Babbie once. Pretty funny story. Maybe another time. Merry Christmas.

What a beautiful message!

I had the opportunity to do just this with the cable customer service rep the other day. It was really a unique interaction and I'm still praying for her today.

Merry Christmas, Amy!!!

So good to find you and link up with you! Love the music -- both songs! I believe my soul sings most heartily when John Ylvisaker's "Borning Cry" is playing because God promises to be with us through all
the stages of our lives! Hope Spencer is much improved very soon! Sybil Reisch
